The Exhibition Iva JAPEC – Luka KIRIN – Kristijan POPOVIĆ

In the Studio of the Antun Augustinčić Gallery in Klanjec, on November 14 2025, at 6 p.m., the exhibition Iva JAPEC – Luka KIRIN – Kristijan POPOVIĆ will open. The exhibition will remain open until 14 January 2026

The collaboration between the Antun Augustinčić Gallery and the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb has, for the fifteenth consecutive year, proven to be fruitful, resulting annually in an exhibition of talented sculpture graduates in the space of the Gallery in Klanjec. This year’s exhibition presents three young artists who approach sculpture in accordance with their own preferences: through a reliance on traditional figuration, the use of new technologies that encourage experimentation, and works marked by inherent social provocation.

Iva Japec (Zagreb, 1999) graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb. She completed her degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in 2025, in the class of Assistant Professor Nikola Vrljić. She cultivates traditional figuration in traditional materials and is establishing herself on the sculpture scene through her craftsmanship.

Luka Kirin (Zagreb, 1993) graduated from the First Technical School “Tesla” in Zagreb. He completed his degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in 2025, in the class of Assistant Professor Tanja Vujasinović. His artistic practice is based on experimentation and 3D-printed objects.

Kristijan Popović (Zagreb, 1998) graduated from the First Technical School “Tesla” in Zagreb. He completed his degree at the Academy of Fine Arts in 2025, in the class of Assistant Professor Predrag Pavić. He dedicated his graduate work to social provocation, questioning ideas of religion, personal and social morality, commercialism, and artificial intelligence.

The exhibition, accompanied by a catalogue, has been realized in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Media of the Republic of Croatia. The exhibition is authored by Davorin Vujčić and can be visited daily, except Mondays, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
